Bus Stop Healy’s Lane/Whitestown Road Junction

COMHAIRLE CONTAE FHINE GALL

FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL

BALBRIGGAN/SWORDS AREA COMMITTEE MEETING

[Services A – Operational Matters]

Thursday, 9th March, 2017

ITEM NO. 59

Question: Councillor B. Dennehy

"To ask the Chief Executive for an up date on any plans to improve the access

and safety for pedestrians at the Healy's Lane / Whitestown road junction

(R128)?”

Reply:

The provision of pedestrian facilities at the junction of Healy’s Lane and

Whitestown Road requires the acquisition of land. Fingal County Council has

attempted to acquire land to construct a footpath from the junction to the bus

stop on Whitestown Road. Negotiations with the landowner have not been

successful. Fingal County Council will continue in its attempts to reach

agreement, in relation to land acquisition with the land owner on Healys Lane.
