FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL

BALBRIGGAN/RUSH-LUSK/SWORDS AREA COMMITTEE MEETING

[Services A – Operational Matters]

Thursday 9th January, 2020

ITEM NO. 38

Question: Councillor B. Dennehy - New VAS sign installed recently in

Oldtown

“To ask the Chief Executive to use the

in order to inform and support the previous

request for speed calming cushions in the Village and have them included in the

2020 operations budget?”

Reply:

The Operations Department propose to download the data from the VAS sign

installed as part of the 2019 VAS Programme of Works after 3 months to give a

true reflection of the vehicle behaviour at the location. Once the data has been

downloaded it will be reviewed.

If any additional measures are deemed necessary, they will be considered for

inclusion in a future Programme of Works.
