Footpath from the town of Naul to the local GAA Club

COMHAIRLE CONTAE FHINE GALL

FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL

BALBRIGGAN/SWORDS AREA COMMITTEE MEETING

[Services A – Operational Matters]

Thursday, 14th February 2019

ITEM NO. 57

Question: Councillor B. Dennehy

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide an update on providing a footpath from

the town of Naul to the local GAA Club?”

Reply:

Consultations remain ongoing with community representatives and landowners

to identify the most appropriate route possible from Naul Village to the GAA

club.

A proposal to construct a footpath linking the Village to the Local GAA Club along

the R108 was included in the 2018 Programme Of Works. Due to Landownership

issues it was not possible to progress the delivery of the footpath. Efforts are

being made to explore alternative options to facilitate access to the GAA Club.
