Hi Vis Bollard at Rush Grave Yard

COMHAIRLE CONTAE FHINE GALL

FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL

BALBRIGGAN/SWORDS AREA COMMITTEE MEETING

[Services A – Operational Matters]

Thursday, 10th March 2016

ITEM NO. 14

Question: Councillor B. Dennehy

"To ask the Chief Executive to place a plastic Hi Vis Bollard (similar to the type on

the Rush/Lusk Train Station Bridge ) in front the area planted alongside Rush

Grave Yard in order to prevent passing and turning traffic driving over the area?”

Reply:

The area where the Hi Vis bollards have been requested is a soiled unplanted

area that is level with the road. Hi Vis bollards placed at the same level as the

road tend to be damaged by passing vehicles.

It is not considered appropriate to erect Hi-Vis bollards at this location. However,

the area will be examined to see if there is any other works that could be

undertaken to alleviate the problem.
