Traffic Count in Donabate
Question: Councillor B. Dennehy
“To ask the Chief Executive to carry out three traffic assessment / counts by a
traffic counting machine on the
beginning in June so as to
achieve a count excluding post primary school traffic followed with a count in
July which will give a count excluding both primary and post primary school
transport and finally in September when all schools and regular traffic will be
included in the count. The resulting reports will give an accurate count on the
traffic movements in the town of Donabate allowing a greater insight into the
immediate traffic controls / restrictions required in the town of Donabate?”
Reply:
It is considered premature to carry out any traffic assessments on Main Street
Donabate until such time as the Donabate Distributor Road, currently under
construction, has been completed.
