NEW SITE FOR ST JOSEPH'S SECONDARY SCHOOL RUSH

Motion: Councillor B. Dennehy

"That this Committee calls upon the Chief Executive to prioritise the acquisition

of a new site for St. Josephs Secondary School, Rush on completion of the Park

Road Upgrade CPO as the road upgrade will give access to the site zoned for a

new school under the Kenure LAP."

Report:

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between the

Department of Education & Skills and the County and City Manager’s’ Association

it is a matter for the Department of Education & Skills to request Fingal County

Council to identify a school site when required.

Dear Councillor,

As a follow up to yesterday’s Swords/Balbriggan ACM with regard to the acquisition of a school site for St. Joseph’s, Rush I am emailing, as promised, with the most up to date position. Currently, Fingal County Council has no instruction to acquire lands on behalf of the Department of Education for a school site for St. Joseph’s, Rush.
