Question: Councillor B. Dennehy

“To ask the Chief Executive further to agenda item 22 at services area A meeting

on December 2017 to investigate suitable locations to install a pedestrian

crossing covering Woodland Park along with Woodbury and the new

development currently under construction as a priority keeping in mind the

planned increase in housing in the area?”

Reply:

This matter has been investigated and the existing road and footpath layout

along Park Road, does not lend itself easily to the siting of a pedestrian crossing.

Consideration will be given to the provision of a pedestrian crossing along

Palmer Road in future works programmes, subject to the extension of the

existing footpath network.
