COMHAIRLE CONTAE FHINE GALL

FINGAL COUNTY COUNCIL

BALBRIGGAN/SWORDS AREA COMMITTEE MEETING

[Services A – Operational Matters]

Thursday, 14th December, 2017

ITEM NO. 22

Question: Councillor B. Dennehy

“To ask the Chief Executive to provide a pedestrian crossing on the Park Road

Rush which will provide a safe place for the residents of Woodlands and

Woodbury Estates along with the new development currently being built on the

park Road to cross as no footpath exists beyond the estates leading into Rush

bar the one on the other side of the Road running alongside Kenure Park.?”

Reply:

The existing road and footpath layout along Park Road, does not lend itself easily

to the siting of a pedestrian crossing. Further investigations will be required to

establish if it is possible to identify a suitable location
