"To ask the Chief Executive to break down the allocation of 60,000 Euro allocated to

Rush Harbour in the Capital Budget 2016."

Reply:

The 2015-2017 Capital Programme included provision of €60,000 for repair works to

Rush Harbour. The works would be part funded by the Department of Agriculture,

Food and the Marine (DAFM) under the Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure

Development Programme to a maximum of 75% of the total cost of the project. No

application was made for works in Rush Harbour in 2015 however, consideration will

be given to making an application under the 2016 Programme. Previous reports on

the condition of the harbour identified re-pointing works to the harbour wall as being

required. This work will be considered in the context of next years Budget and

funding being available from the DAFM.
