Reply:
The land-take for the Park Road is currently being assessed and will be
determined in the coming weeks. Once this phase is complete, the Council
will be in a position to determine the delivery of the CPO. With the specific
land-take determined, it is the intention of the Property Section of the
Council to commence the CPO process by forwarding the required
documentation to An Bord Pleanala. The CPO process will have duration
of 3 weeks, if no objections are received, at which stage the CPO can be
determined. Should an objection be received then the time scale will
extend to allow ABP to hold an oral hearing on the matter. Once this CPO
process is finalised, the Council will be in a position to update the
members on the schedule of works that will see the Park Road upgrade
works brought to completion.
